Radon Testing
Exposure to radon in the home is responsible for an estimated 20,000 lung cancer deaths each year. - Environmental Protection Agency
Radon is a radioactive gas that can move up through the ground, through the cracks in your foundation, and into the air. The radon can build up as it’s trapped your home and cause life-threatning illnesses. New, old, well-sealed, drafty, and homes with or without basements can be at risk. A radon test should be conducted every two years, especially if you have recently renovated or altered your home in any way. A test should also be conducted prior to moving into the lower level of a home (basement).
